PLEASE NOTE: This recipe calls for the GRILLING or BROILING of food. In most countries of the world, the term "grilling" refers to heat coming from above the food source. Significantly, in North America, it signifies heat from below the food (such as barbecuing). In the United States and Canada, when the heat source for grilling comes from above, grilling is termed broiling, and the pan that holds the food is usually called a broiler pan.

How to Cook Bacon Wrapped Cheese Dogs

  1. Slice the hot dog from end to end almost all the way through. Cut the cheese into stips and lay down the middle of the hot dogs. Wrap the dogs with bacon in a spiral manner and stick with toothpicks to keep in position. Grill if you are from Europe - Broil if you are from North America - cheese side up till the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melted (usually about 10 minutes).
  2. Slice the bread rolls and lay one Bacon Wrapped Cheese Dog into each. Spread generously with ketchup, mayonnaise, relish or mustard to suit your individual taste. Serve immediately.
GRAHAM'S HOT TIP:
If you want to turn your Bacon Wrapped Cheese Dog into a classic "big snack", you can add fried onions or sauerkraut.
