Easy Oven Pasta is, as you might imagine, really easy. It takes just 5 minutes to prepare and then you can throw it in the oven and forget about it for 30 minutes. It makes a great quick lunch or "heavy duty" snack and is loved by kids and adults alike

Ingredients for Easy Oven Pasta

To serve 4:

1¼ pint water
7 - 8 tablespoons mayonnaise
6 oz natural Greek yoghurt
12 oz pasta such as macaroni or penne
6 rashers (slices) smoked streaky bacon (side bacon) roughly chopped
3 oz cheese (Parmesan or Emmental) grated

How to Cook Easy Oven Pasta

  1. Mix the water, the mayonnaise and the yoghurt together in a pan and bring to a gentle boil then remove from the heat. Place the pasta in an oven-proof dish and sprinkle the chopped bacon (or ham) over the top. Pour on the sauce mixture and top with grated cheese
  2. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (Mk 4 - 350ºF - 180ºC) for 30 minutes and serve hot with a salad or your favourite vegetables.

To increase your fibre intake choose a whole-grain pasta.
