PLEASE NOTE: This recipe calls for the GRILLING or BROILING of food. In most countries of the world, the term "grilling" refers to heat coming from above the food source. Significantly, in North America, it signifies heat from below the food (such as barbecuing). In the United States and Canada, when the heat source for grilling comes from above, grilling is termed broiling, and the pan that holds the food is usually called a broiler pan.
How to Cook Grilled Pork Chops
- Cut the butter into small pieces. Place the pork on a grill pan, season with salt and freshly ground pepper and place a little butter on each. Grill on high heat for about 5-6 minutes then turn the chops over and place a little butter and seasoning on the reverse side. Continue to grill for another 5-6 minutes until cooked to your liking.
- Serve immediately either straight from the grill or with with Apple and Honey Slices and Creamed Potatoes.
A "quick fix" if you like apple but don't have the time to prepare Apple and Honey sliced is to buy a tin of stewed apple... saves a lot of effort and is still a tasty addition.
