How to Cook Avocado and Cheese Savoury Dip
- Peel the avocados, halve them, remove the stones and mash the avocado flesh with the lemon juice. Skin, seed and chop the tomatoes, peel and crush (mince) the garlic, peel and grate (shred) the ½ onion. Add these and the cheese to the avocado and beat the mixture, adding salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl (or bowls) and serve chilled with crisp, fresh vegetables, crackers or, best of all, our own Savoury Cheese Biscuits or Savoury Chive Biscuits.

Do you struggle to get the stone out of a halved avocado? Don't!! Take a sharp knife and hit the stone with the knife blade (watch your fingers) just enough for the blade to stick. Then gently turn the knife and the stone will twist and come loose.
Reviews of Avocado and Cheese Savoury Dip
![]() I'm so glad to be the first to rate this great tasting dip. My husband said it was a real keeper and licked his fingers clean. Creamy and perfect for cracker spreading, with a nice light bite of onion behind. You almost wouldn't know the avocado is in there, I'm tempted to not tell anyone and bet my avocado hating friends will still love it...then I'll let them know that I forgot to mention the avocado! jody (3 reviews) |
